Rethinking the traditional house plan, formal living and dining rooms were eliminated. The main stair and relationship of rooms were arranged to make the kitchen, eating and family rooms the focal area of the home.  The rear of the house opens out to the property with large windows and folding doors. Tile floors extend out onto the patio, blurring the boundaries between inside and out.
